All
classes are taught under the supervision of Marilyn Feeney
and Michelle Swanson, both of whom trained with Willem Reeders,
the school founder, for many years. Marilyn Feeney was certified
by Willem Reeders, and is the only person he certified to
teach Tibetan Tai-Chi.
Willem Reeders
founded the school in Albuquerque in 1985. Willem was often called
Liu-Seong in honor of his great-uncle, Liu-Seong Sr., who taught
Willem this art. Liu-Seong Sr., himself, came out of the Shao-Lin
Temple. At the age of four years, Willem began twice a day training
with Liu-Seong Sr. When Willem was twelve years old, his great-uncle
commenced sending him to China for 100 days every year. There,
Willem underwent rigorous, intensive training in the temple for
twelve consecutive years. After twelve years of study, he was
certified by the 13th Dalai Lama.
